Everyone	DICTION STEP ON LINES Opening was SLOW – then the mechanicals came in and saved the play!  There must be energy from the get go. Give Theseus/Oberon the power he deserves. Freezes need to be cleaner. Need business with skeleton and cobweb. Thine own company – wrote it down and do not know why. Awake, my love to audience Need more magic Look over your lines Turn tree lights off when Bottom leaves the last time.
Puck	Beckons – I wrote don’t be silent with flower – don’t know why. If the flower falls, you pick it up and be subservient. Chicken move with lark When you say Demetrius and Lysander as Egeus – point to them. Faster on Louisiana man scene Work on changing moon.

Hermia	Louder – hard to hear you where judges are. Make a sound coming in after Puck’s two of both kinds. I am amazed was off
Lysander	Next scene was profile. Shake with love potion
Helena	Squeaky – teach me how you look Louder in scene after Lysander has the love potion. Keen mockery line could not be understood. Lower pitch needed.

Everyone	You know I cannot lie!  IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!  IT WAS BEYOND AMAZING!!!!! The changes were so good.  DICTION !!!!!!   Cooper could not understand Eli, Colin & Titania & others, but she mentioned you people.  BUT EVERYONE can work on diction.  HIT CONSONANTS.  EACH SENTENCE is SEPARATE!  EACH Word must be HIT!!!! We need to move 4X8 so that actors speak more to the audience.  Colin and I moved it, but we need to remember this because the map is made. Bottom’s change into a donkey – still not enough magic.  Eli’s back was to the audience so we could not see Ramzi.  Need Clay to move over by Ramzi.  More shaking needed.  Eli could you clap – freeze mechanicals except Bottom – he shakes – drum and trumpet then clap – that way you guys are not distracting.  It will clean that scene up a little. I want Eli to move the moon. Please thank the Buntings for creating the program.  It was amazing! Please thank mechanicals, Eli, Riley, Colin & Alee for the extra rehearsal yesterday.  It helped so much today. Freeze cleaner Louder and better diction Step on lines. Everyone needs to jerk more when affected by magic We need to concentrate on diction – I said this at the beginning, but have forgotten to reinforce this – In Shakespeare, if there are words that signify an emotion or attitude, the line needs to feel that emotion or attitude.  If the line has an action verb – you need to CONVEY the meaning of that verb to the audience.  The key to the judges is that the lines can be understood ! TUESDAY is FAT TUESDAY!  Wear your shirts & eat lunch with us!  If you are signed up for anything to bring, don’t forget.  We can use water!   I’ll email teachers that you will be in my room during lunch and advisory.
POSITIVES	IT WAS REALLY EVERYONE’S BEST PERFORMANCE SO FAR.  WE NEED TO WORK ON  - DICTION – VARYING PACING OF SENTENCES AND EMPHASIS OF WORDS GREAT SWAMP NOISES & MUSIC FAIRIES WERE ENGAGED.  NOT A DISTRACTION TODAY. MUSIC, SOUND EFFECTS, & LIGHTS WERE GREAT. MECHANICALS SCENES WERE SO MUCH BETTER – THINK YOU CAN BE BIGGER.

Alee	Fairies away needs to be to the audience.  Step on lines. Loosen up with Oberon.  Be more playful, sexier – intend to seduce him. Jerk more with the potion.
Fairies	MUCH BETTER!!!! Are you not he?  Mistress – we will work on these tomorrow – They need to sound creepier
Kate M	Oh spite – needs to be like oh crap.  Then the next lines you are telling the audience you are not going to keep your promise to Hermia and Lysander
Clay	Really great job!  We need drums with the jacket change in the beginning.  We need to rehearse this. It was a little awkward.  Don’t really know why. Drums when Titania awakes.
Mia	As wall – more to the audience – I think with changing the
Carter	Bow tie? HAIR – YOU KEEP MESSING WITH IT AND IT IS DISTRACTING I need your pants!  Taking them tomorrow.
Couples	Stay closer together – like you can’t keep your hands off each other.
Ramzi	Spread yourselves? Rare vision lines were too slow and needed to have more varied pacing. Blood – say it weird – hit the d. Let’s add the tail.  Think it is in the blue tub.
Colin	Abs?  Get Jaeden to do tattoos on your body.  He did great ones on Clay’s neck. Growling on torment ????? This is thy negligence – maybe more measured so you can show your anger. When Titania leaves after saying you can’t have the boy – chase her a bit.
Tre	Instead of just being disgusted with Helena, be more exasperated – begging her to leave you alone Diction was much better.
Scotlynn	Thanks so much for taking Breck’s part.  You were always engaged.
Eli	Be more deliberate.  When lines are in iambic pentameter – use this.  (from a person who knows Shakespeare – Johnny Vasek) At times, the top hat shadowed your face. I thought it was your best performance. On hempen homespuns – just those two words in Southern accent.    Enter from another place when putting potion on Lysander.
MECHANICALS	BIGGER!   THE CHANGES WE MADE NEED TO BE BIGGER.  ENTERING THE SWAMP WAS SO MUCH BETTER BUT NEEDS TO BE IN SYNC. Maybe Kaytlyn – stomp on 4 X 8. Wait  One Mississippi beat.  and yell Ninus. Blocking was bad at times.
Demetrius & Helena	Really good chemistry.
Lovers	Mosquitos and bugs in the swamp. Watch Shakespeare in love for the starry eyed love scenes.  You need to look AT EACH OTHER with love.  We can do this in class tomorrow.
Hermia & Lysander	Great job on waking up – lie further off.  The best. Match more as far as energy – Ms. Bobo
Stick people	Aye me HIT   We didn’t rehearse it.
James McKay	Hee haw trumpet during transformation.  You might be over by Bottom as well.
Titania & Colin	Too profile a lot of the time.
Crew	We never show our appreciation enough.  Thanks so much for all your help. We need to do something different with the voodoo box.  That light at the top was weird.  It needs to look like an uncanny glow.
